You guys are doing some AWESOME work!
I’m really looking forward to the final Front Mission 2 English patch. ๐
FM2 translation news had been quiet for a while. I’d like to heard some good news about it.
Go go Translation Project! Keep kickin’ ass!
Nice work guys, keep up the good work!
Wow, a quiz. You guys are truly FM fan.
Keep it up guys the translation and the video series I really enjoy how the video connects to the storyline of the series
In middle of September, last year, They announced FM2 translation patch gonna release soon. It’s still soon until now.
Looking forward to the final Front Mission 2 english patch.
(Along with an English patch for FM2089:Border of Madness if possible)
Been waiting anxiously for the Front Mission 2 translation
We all are =P
awesome work guys! w00t! ^^ Just curious through. I’ve been playing my FM5 patched copy and…is it normal that the alphabet when changing wanzer’s names is still in japanese? I always like to theme my rides ^^
I guess I am a bit late to post this… But I wonder… does 2089 count as a numbered title?
You know, the “2089” is referring to the year in which the game takes place, rather than the order of the entry.
@Ralph
Yes, it does. “2089” is still a number so Front Mission 2089 and 2089-II count as numbered titles.
Would love to see FM 2089 in english! Been a few years since i played it in japanese so would be nice to play it again in english this time to understand the story rather than just zombieing through the whole game lol.
Hello, been a fan since overseas 4, and I was surprised you guys exposed how much a LOT of the Front Mission franchise never made it outside Japan, and that, aside from games, you need the numerous mangas, novels, and films to get the full 100% canon storyline. I got question about differences between Japanese and English 4:
1. The hostage situation Zead talked about to Elsa (said hostage takers were Grimnir, was set 2080, and revealed Morgan personally was there, with him meeting Zead briefly), the recruit in Zead’s unit that got killed, was he killed by Morgan himself. or a Grimnir henchmen.
2. Was the German Premier really involved in the scheme to reopen trade routes with Zaftra?
Which reminds me…
3. How did Glaeser survive blowing up his own wanzer?
4. The insignia of Ivanovna’s unit, which has something in Russian, what is it in English?
5. Was Grimnir helping Diaz get Venezuela out of the USN?
Are you guys ever considering going back through the official localized versions of games and de-censoring them and putting back references and stuff that should’ve been there from the beginning?
I know that FM3 supposed to be the canonically last in FM-verse, but its ‘shady talk’ ending (that one corridor talk scene which ends with a closed door) still puzzles me.
*post ending stinger, I mean*
Hello Again, AJ here, I got some questions, don’t worry, nothing spoiler-y.
So here goes:
1. What happened to nuclear weapons in total, did every country with a nuke disarm them when they joined the supernational unions?
2. Did Cuba join the USN while North Korea joined Da Han Zhong?
Which reminds me…
3. Are they still communist in the Front Mission series?
Front Mission isn’t completely dead!!

Long shot here since I doubt anyone even looks at or reads this page, but I hope to reach someone who has access to the Front Mission 2 FMVs that were provided on youtube. All the links in the readme are dead and I can’t find any kind of real contact info for anyone.
Did anyone have the foresight to save something so essential to the game for future viewing?
I got the same question as #21, all youtube links for FM2’s CG scenes translation are all dead, will the translation team re-upload them?
Does the team have any plans to put the remaining FM2 dialogue directly into the patch? It’s a bit clunky and immersion-breaking to keep reading the script in a text file or printout instead of seeing it in the actual game.
